How to Pre-Load ISC Coilovers
How’s it going guys, Allen with ISC Suspension and today I am going to show you how to pre-load, properly a set of ISC N1 coilovers and N1 basic coilovers. So the first thing that you’re going to want to do is find the spring length, as you can see here we have a 200mm length spring, so you’re going to want to compress this spring to 195 millimeters, giving it 5 millimeters of pre-load. Just remember to only compress the spring and measure from the spring. So the first thing you are going to want to do is you are going to see this spring has play on it. This is what you don’t want, this means that there is no pre-load on the spring what so ever. So what you are going to do is bring this top collar up until there is no play on the spring. Next, you will bring the next collar up, and you are going to tighten this and bring it up 5 millimeters to compress the spring. As you can see here we now have 5 millimeters. So now I’m gonna bring this bottom collar up, and lock these two together. After this is accomplished you’re gonna want to make sure you measure this to make sure that you have 195 millimeters from the top of the spring to the bottom of the spring. That will give you that 5 millimeters of pre-load for a 200 light spring. Once again everyone, I am Allen with ISC suspension, if you have any questions or comments feel free to contact [email protected] and they can answer all of your questions.
