Story
This BMW started off life as a stock F30 335i Sport Line, finished in Sapphire Black Metallic. Rather than taking the traditional route of installing M-Sport bumpers, we chose to do a full F80 M3 body kit. This was a highly controversial choice because, well, this car isn’t an M3 of course.

That being said, the body kit was water under the bridge once we began installing performance upgrades to back up the looks. Itching to hear the turbocharged N55 straight-six sing, we did a basic resonator delete and custom valved muffler. By installing a QuickTimePerformance electric cutout valve just before the stock muffler, we were able to switch between sport and stealth exhaust at the push of a button.

Our next top priority was replacing the stock BMW plastic charge pipe before adding any more power to the equation. For this, we chose the FTP aluminum charge pipe kit from KiesMotorsports. Next came our beloved ISC N1 coilovers with Triple S street springs! This car did come equipped with adaptive M suspension but it just wasn’t stiff enough, even in the stiffest mode. Our N1 coilovers made the car handle like it was on rails, without sacrificing much comfort at all.

During the beginning of the pandemic, we took a quick break from performance upgrades to do something special with the aesthetics of this build. With materials from MetroRestyling, we installed a full gloss gray wrap with a custom Porsche-inspired livery on top. This brightened up the car’s appearance and offered a light color with which our Kies Carbon pieces could contrast.

With looks taken care of, we were ready to rumble! In an effort to measure performance gains from upgrades, we installed a P3 Gauges 14-way multi-function vent gauge. This incredibly sleek, well-designed unit installs just left of the instrument cluster; Adding a small display to the left dash vent while retaining climate control functionality. Next up was an impressively oversized, 1000hp rated CSF Radiators intercooler.

Finally, we were ready to download some more ponies for this German beast! Tremendous power gains were realized by flashing a Stage 2 93 Octane BOOTMOD3 tune. The car’s stock boost target of approximately 10 psi was increased to a whopping 21 psi. We also flashed the BOOTMOD3 transmission tune which yielded astounding results.

A few more interior goodies were added to the car including an entire BavSound system, M-Sport steering wheel, KiesMotorsports extended paddle shifters, and an Apple CarPlay MMI from Motive Supplies.

The Dorch Engineering Stage 1 HPFP was installed to provide increased fuel flow. Last but certainly not least, StopTech rotors and EBC pads were installed to make sure this animal could come to a stop.

We are greatly appreciative of the endless support from our partners, including KiesMotorsports, ISC Suspension, P3 Gauges, ECS Tuning, and many others! Thank you to everyone involved in the build and the folks that followed along on our YouTube channel!
