| I bought this 2001 Impreza 2.5RS in 2009 when I was 19. Living in Buffalo NY I needed something AWD and good in the snow. I knew it wasn’t going to be as fast as the turbo models but I had a dream to build what it is today. Did some minor things to it as any kid would when it was NA but eventually did a full V7 STI engine and drivetrain swap on it. Fit some wider wheels and tires with the help of riveted on fender flares. The ISC coilovers I put on at that time helped get the stance I wanted and performed great. installed the wide body and had it painted in Java black pearl. It has been a weekend car and occasional track day car as of late. Never thought how much this car would mean to me but it brings a smile to my face every time I drive it and whenever someone gives me a thumbs up on the road or a car show. | |
