ISC How To: ISC 15/25mm Wheel Spacer OR Adapter

Hey everyone, Allen with ISC Suspension here. Today we’re going to give you a short tutorial on how to put on wheel spacers and adapters. If you’ve got a pair or set of these, your probably pretty excited to put them on. However, you are going to want to make sure you take these steps to ensure the best possible outcome.

Alright guys, so here are your tools, you’re going to have a jack, a jack stand, the wheel adapter or spacer itself, an impact gun, torque wrench, and anti seize, and a socket.

Step 1

So the first step you’re going to take, is you are going to want to raise the car up with your jack. Just like so. Once it’s high enough you are going to want to put your jack stand underneath for extra support. Make sure that you’re always using a proper jack and proper jack stands for the weight of your vehicle. Slowly lower your jack onto your jack stand.

Step 2

And now you can go ahead and start removing your OEM wheel or whichever wheel you are going to be using depending on if it is a spacer or adapter. Go ahead and remove the wheel and set it off to the side or put it away if you’re not going to be using the same one.

Step 3

The next step you’re going to want to take is anti seizing the hub of the vehicle. And also anti seize the interior of the spacer or adapter hub. This will ensure that nothing will get seized and stuck on the hub of your vehicle.

Step 4

You can see we are pointing to where the lug is going to go. So the supplied ones are going to actually bolt onto the stock studs. Speed up here a little bit. Just thread those on like so. Hand tighten them. It’s a good idea to make sure that you have a partner for this that could step on the brakes if you’re doing the front. As you can see here, Kyle is torquing these down. You’re going to want to torque these down to 77 to 80 ft. lbs. just like the OEM lug nuts. Make sure that they are nice and tight and make sure that you are using a star pattern.

Step 5

Now you can take your new wheel and go ahead and place it onto the adapter. Once again you are going to want to put the wheel back on and make sure you are using a star pattern. You can go ahead and remove your jack and lower it. Once the car is on the ground that is when you are going to want to torque. Once again you are going to want to torque in a star pattern to make sure everything stays even.

While Kyle torques the wheel, it is an important thing to note that anytime you do anything with your wheel it is always a good idea to just double check them after going for an initial test drive just to make sure everything is nice and tight.
